Positive: Puerto Morelos has a lot of great restaurants/coffee shops/bakeries, and we enjoyed our first visit there. This rental is in an excellent location right on the beach. 5 minute walk to restaurants and convenience stores, 10 minute walk to a large grocery store. Pool is on the smaller side but wonderful to have, especially with a toddler who didn't love the sand. Hosts were very friendly and provided crib/high chair/plastic tub for our baby. Also provided filtered water. Beach is very nice and most of the seaweed had cleared by our trip (end of October). Pool/outdoor area had lots of seating and sand toys for the kids.

Negative: The property is advertised as a 4 bed/4 bath but the 4th bedroom is almost a separate apartment. You need to access it separately and have keys to go in and out. Could be an issue if you have two families with young children and don't want to separate kids from parents. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher, so we did a lot of dishes, and the laundry is shared with other rental units. 3 of the bedrooms face the sunrise and the window coverings are not fully black out, so it's very bright in the morning. The kitchen/living/dining area does not have it's own AC unit. AC units are only in bedrooms. No bathtub, so we had to wash our toddler in a separate tub, which was a little awkward.

Summary: Overall, this rental was great for our family vacation.
