Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location, super views (mountainside but also with a side view down to the centre and the bay below the castle). Enjoyed just resting on the balcony. Lovely welcome from Emma and Marius. We loved going for a morning swim in the very calm bay, before the day-visitor crowds arrived.

Negative: Cosis’s Inn was excellent but people should be aware that due to Assos’ location tap water is not drinkable nor for use in the kettle, as it’s salty. Water from the taps and shower is also salty. We stayed four nights and were looking forward to some fresh water by then. This is no reflection on the property which we were very happy with.

Summary: Very warm welcome, spotless and spacious studio in an excellent location a few minutes from the main square/jetty.
