Summary: We cannot speak highly enough about our stay in the cabin. This is clearly a labor of love for Barry and Jim, and it shows in the preparation, comfort, and all the little details that greeted us. Even after we arrived, they made sure all our questions were answered and helped us plan our visit. They sent suggestions for dining and activities, and (most importantly to us!) kept us updated on what Kilauea was doing. We were incredibly lucky on that front, as we were able to watch a fountaining episode start on our second night. The cabin itself is just beautiful ... redwood all around, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. A lovely garden in the back just added to the experience.
