Summary: It’s a small room by USA standards, but a great value. My room was clean, the shower hot, AND they offered me an upgrade (I don’t know why). Bonus mirror by the bed! Some noise from other rooms and the bar.
It’s in a working neighborhood, but you can walk two blocks to Mercado Santa Rosa for breakfast, fruit, and early dinner.
Calle 5 is on the cooperative van route to port attractions: naval museum, Submarine Abtao, and Islas Palominos.
It’s an inexpensive urban hotel run by nice, helpful people.
