Summary: BEWARE. The hotel is dishonest. They will read this review and respond saying I was wrong. I tried to explain my situation which is when I first booked my room it was a double. I then upgraded to a room that said 3 people. The man at the hotel said to call him and not go through hotels.com if I needed to upgrade. I called hotels.com and they said I could upgrade online and book the room for 3 people and not go through the hotel. I did this as you can see. When i arrived the man at hotel when greeting us was very rude and told me I could leave if I wasn’t happy. Mind you, we had just traveled a long way with my two adult kids. He didn’t want to listen to me explaining I had upgraded to a larger and more expensive room because it said 3 people. YES I did not change it online from 2 people to 3 but I paid for a room for 3 people. The man made me pay for an extra room which cost me another 400.00 on top of the 500.00 I had already paid for the other room. He literally said to me “I only want happy people here and you can leave”. I was nervous and scared of this guy so I paid the extra room fee. The next day my son asked him about inexpensive boat options and he rudely said “just go to harbor and figure it out yourself”. When I checked out, I was now dealing with the hotel owner, a woman and I explained what happened. She did not care and was just as rude! They will most likely respond this and say it was my fault but trust me it wasn’t. Dishonest and rude. Stay away.
