This self-contained Guest House is located on the edge of the Yarra Valley and surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Located on a hobby farm with horses, sheep, baby lambs, an alpaca and chickens.

This quiet retreat includes a bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and seperate bathroom.
The living area is large with a six seater dining table, two arm chairs and a three seater comfy couch. A flat-screen TV with DVD player is also available.

The Kitchenette has all the mod cons including microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, plates, utensils coffee machine to brew your own coffee to kick start your day, and an outside BBQ.

Free use of the tennis court, go for a paddle in the canoe on our ornamental lake or wander the property and enjoy the serenity.

Surrounded by Wineries and only a few minutes drive to Warrandyte, Diamond Creek and Eltham.

Local markets are close by at Eltham, Warrandyte, St Andrews, Hurstbridge and Yarra Glen with many restaurants right at your doorstep.

Summary: My partner and I had a lovely stay at Michelle’s cottage in Kangaroo Ground. The accommodation set behind the main house on a hobby farm was modern, spacious whilst still having that ‘cozy cottage feel.’ When we arrived, Michelle and her dog, Penny were there to greet us and show us the property. Two friendly horses were freely roaming too and we enjoyed interacting with them throughout our stay. Michelle was more than accommodating, offering suggestions on where to eat, wineries to visit, walks and other places of interest. She was always on hand if we had any questions. Fresh eggs laid by their hens, bacon and crusty bread, juice and milk were provided for breakfast. We enjoyed breakfast outside in the sun, overlooking the Yarra Valley. We made a suggestion for future guests that maybe some cereals and jams would also be nice to add, and to our surprise (and not expected at all), Michelle left an assortment of these outside our room! We also were treated to fresh honey from a neighbour’s local bee farm. Delicious! Wine was also a complementary feature! We had such a relaxing time and wish we could have stayed longer. Till next time…..
