Positive: My wife booked this short stay in Lelystad, and I fully expected to be bored...however the nature park and local facilities kept me occupied and I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night, 1 day stay, but not sure I could have stayed for longer without a 'reason' to be there. The accomodation was very nice. Although smaller than than I expected it was well decorated, and cosy. The local area is very nice, and having access to the garden was an added bonus that we didn't really take advantage of. The hostess was very friendly although we didn't see much of her as she was currently off site...which was fine as nothing untoward happened. In my subjective opinion, if you want a place to stay for business reasons, or just a day or two away, this would be the ideal location. The nature park is a must see and the area in general is very attractive and quiet.

Negative: This is my SUBJECTIVE opinion and I don't want to take anything away from the excellent reviews this accomodation has received, but: I couldn't sleep in the bed. Over the 2 nights I got a total of 8 hours sleep and woke up with a bad back each morning. I should add I am 63 yrs old and do have a 'bad back', but this doesn't happen at home. It could simply be that my bed at home is moulded to my body, whereas this bed simply wasn't (but I have spent my working life in hotels and this doesn't happen often). My wife slept well. The apartment is much smaller than I expected, but still well kitted out but very lttle closet space. Had almost everything needed (a toaster would have been nice). The kitchenette is a kettle, coffee machine and microwave, so don't expect to be able to prepare food, but utensils and crockery are provided. Internet is excellent, as is the flat screen TV with Netflix acces through an guest account. Not a five star experience, and I wouldn't stay here again (the bed problem), but given the location and duration of my stay, overall I enjoyed my time here.

Summary: Not 5 star, but generally better than most hotel accomodation
