Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location is pretty central, self check-in was efficient, everything was clean, bathroom was modern enough. Shared kitchen is a bonus.

Negative: First of all, the room was stuffy (it was +30 outside), because all the windows were closed. It may be a good idea to ventilate before arrival. The room was on the ground floor facing the street, so I had to keep curtains closed. Some noise at night as well (loud people, car horns). Uncomfortable mattress (I could feel every spring in it). I had to put a blanket on top to be able to sleep. Pillows are also horrible but I've noticed that it's a german thing to use wide and very soft pillows.To me, it's very harmful for the neck and also impossible to sleep on your side. But it might be a matter of personal taste. It didn't affect my review. The kitchen was missing any deeper plates or cups (to make a cereal). But it's also a personal thing. I may sound a little picky for a guesthouse, but I've paid the same price for Mercure in Stuttgart or Novotel in Freiburg. These are four-star properties in more popular cities. So I was a little bit disappointed by price/quality ratio. This wasn't the cheapest option in Plauen as well, I just fell for the shared kitchen.
