NEW LISTING! Located within the prestigious, gated community of Monte Paraiso, this property has a main house that sleeps 8 and a casita that sleeps four, a 24/7 guards offers peace of mind. That’s nice but the property itself is the star.
A sparkling infinity pool overlooks unsurpassed views of the ocean. The tiled outdoor shower, gas barbecue grill, outside granite table with ample seating and shaded/rain protected patio nook (with coffee table, padded loveseat, chairs and ceiling fans) make outdoor living fun at any time of year.
Out back you can enjoy the pagoda with couches, lighted ceiling fan and a stunning coffee table made of Guanacaste wood. It overlooks the tree canopy, lush and green in rainy season (which usually has showers rather than steady rain) and while green it is a monkey corridor. If you are lucky, you can see monkeys going to and from the ocean—babies on the backs of the Moms.
The chef’s kitchen is gorgeous, and must be seen to be appreciated. It features a stunning quartzite island, lit from within so that the stone shines like a gem, plus a chef’s kitchen with everything a serious, dedicated cook could ask for.
The main house is a dream to enjoy. It has a large living space with the kitchen, living room and half bath—large, open and airy. The first floor has two bedrooms, one with a king bed, enormous closet, and bath with shower, and the other two twin beds with bath and shower. Every bedroom in the house has a flat screen tv and full bathroom.
Upstairs are two king bedrooms, both with panoramic ocean views, full baths, gigantic closets and flat screen tv’s, connected by a wide balcony. The balcony overlooks the stunning ocean views and has comfortable seating. A particularly cute refrigerator on the second floor makes cocktail sunsets on the balcony a breeze. There is a full-size washer and dryer on the second floor.
The casita is separate but very close to the main house. It has a full kitchen, stacked washer and dryer, king bedroom with full bath on the first floor, and queen bed with full bath on the second floor. Flat screen tv’s of course are in both bedrooms.
One of the convenient (and hard-to find features in local rentals) is the excellent on-site parking at Casa del Alma. There is covered parking for two cars in the carport, and parking for two additional cars directly in front of the main entrance. The main entrance parking has a remote controlled sliding security gate. The entire property is protected by locked gates, and has an outside security system. This, when added to the fact that Monte Pariso is already a gated community with 24-hour guards, makes Casa del Alma an ideal choice for people seeking an added measure of security. To be sure, Playa Hermosa is a very safe area already but the added layers of security are nice to have and provide additional peace of mind.
Playa Hermosa means beautiful beach and lovely beaches, beach restaurants, upper-end restaurants, and stunning views abound. When you are ready to leave the infinity pool with its panoramic views, the beach is a 3-minute drive down the hill. Playas del Coco, about a ten-minute easy drive away by car, offers additional restaurants and shopping opportunities. Fishing excursions, private boat rides with food and drinks included, tours to visit the forest and see the incredible local wildlife (the pictures with the sloth and monkey were taken by actual guests) are very reasonably priced and easy to arrange. If you feel inspired to cook, fresh local seafood can even be delivered to your door at excellent prices.
Finally, for those seeking some in-house pampering, massages, facials, hot-rock massages (and several other types—a list is provided) manicures, pedicures, personal chef services—all are available. A private driver or tour guide can also be arranged for you.
