Summary: This review considers the amazingly low price we paid (£40), compared to other availability in the area. We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been. The rooms were warm and clean, and had been newly decorated, the bedding was clean and crisp. The breakfast was adequate, all self serve, tea, coffee, juices, cereals, packet meats and pastries. The downsides - we had to call a mobile number (taped to the door) on arrival for the door to be opened by, I'm assuming to be a live-in caretaker, he showed us to the breakfast area and to our rooms, but we never saw him (or any other staff) again. The general decor of the communal areas is (I hope), a work in progress. The double glazed window in one room had one layer cracked and displaced its whole length. Would we stay again? Yes, at the low price and for 1 night.
