Positive: Incredibly welcoming hosts -- quick to respond on chat and keen to make sure we had everything we needed. The place has everything a family needs. There are large shopping centres nearby to buy food and essentials.

Negative: It’s a little outside the main Dover sights, so you’ll need to budget for a short taxi or drive to the castle, harbour and cliff trails. Fares were still reasonable (especially versus London), but worth keeping in mind if you’re car-free.

Summary: Great base for a Dover Castle & White Cliffs break
