Positive: The location was great, however the photos of the lodge on the wesite is misleading as what we actually experiences. Lodge and facilities was very tired,outdated.and lacks of maintanance. David was a great host and food was plentiful and homely. Buffet dinner was a nice braai with Kudu sosaties and lovely oryx steaks. We loved the freshly baked cake, tea and coffee at 3pm after arrival.

Negative: Outeniqua Lodge advertised game drives which was not actually on their farm but on an adjacent farm, We pre-booked a game drive and was told on arrival we could not do, no animals on the farm itself which was very dissapointing as it was 3 members of our group very 1st experience to Namibia. The signage from main road to enter farm was not clear as we missed the turnoff to gate, we did not know that the gate had to be manually opened as the buzzer did not work. Cobwebs in rooms, aircon not working well in the heat and dud not reach loft. Water presure in shower was trickling either very hot or ice cold. No coffee/tea station in rooms and had to wait until 7am for kitchen to open. The toilet did not work in the front double room, Fridge in room not working and had to ask for a plug for it to work. 2 other Lodge family rooms did not have bar fridges.Advertised sun umbrellas but non in site. The price we paid for an overnight stay was not worth it. Would only return if upgrades and improvements are done, Definitely not a luxury lodge.
