Positive: This unit is an ideal location for exploring Lisbon. It is well located in the lively Chiado neighborhood. Despite being close to plenty of nightlife, it was quiet. It is only one flight up so you don’t have to carry your bags very far. It is around the corner from two or three superb restaurants. It’s a short walk to the metro. The unit itself was spotlessly clean. It’s nice to have the open patio in the back and bright light. The bathrooms are well appointed. The kitchen has everything you need for a short day. There is generous closet and storage space.There is a very nice market a short walk away. Everything functions perfectly.

Negative: The only issue I would bring up is the beds. One bed is a platform bed. If you can’t get down and up from your hands and knees, then this room would definitely not be for you. Also, that bed is very soft so if you step down on it, you might fall over. I am pretty agile and this was quite awkward.The other room has a standard bed. Both beds are smaller than an American queen size bed so are a little tight for two people. The mattresses seem to be IKEA quality. They are extremely soft and not particularly supportive and you know every time your partner moves. Everything else about the unit is so great, this stands out. I hope the owners will invest in higher quality mattresses. Also, it would be nice to have a small side table in the bedroom with the platform bed. There is not really a counter for the sink so there’s no place to put anything down. The drawers are somewhat awkward for that purpose.
