Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Location was great - close to the downtown core of Orillia and just a short walk to the famous Mariposa Bakery. Also centrally located to a good variety of restaurants. The continental breakfast was simply that. Sufficient. The hotel appeared as if it had undergone a renovation within the last few years.

Negative: My room was cold. The first night I had to use the extra linen from the second bed to add warmth. The next day I had to ask the Front Desk Receptionist to assist with the re-starting the heating unit. She was able to do that. The hotel was clean enough, but not spotless. I saw the odd beer can left empty in the hallway and the common areas looked like they could do with some additional vacuuming (i.e. elevators / hallway carpets).

Summary: Sufficient for those travelling on a budget.
